“We have had the pleasure of attending a number of briefings but this one had the added benefit of the great historical battlefield tour and examples of successful leadership in the field of battle. We support a great cause, Christian faculty, and we enjoyed the community of fellow Christians, an unbeatable combination at a most delightful venue.”

COME WITH US
We hope you will join us for our High Ground at Gettysburg briefing September 26-29, 2024. The weekend is sponsored by Cru’s ministry to university professors and grad students, Faculty Commons.
Gettysburg is truly a special place. We'll stay at a beautiful, historic Bed and Breakfast in the heart of quaint Gettysburg. Dr. Jay Lorenzen will be your expert field guide, having conducted over 50 events and tours on this historic battleground. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing the vision and ministry of Faculty Commons.
This unique event will refresh you spiritually, renew your vision for your own life and leadership, and give you an insider’s perspective on two epic battles: the Battle at Gettysburg and the battle for America’s universities.

YOUR HOSTS
Rick and Sonya Hove
Rick and Sonya Hove lead Faculty Commons, Cru's ministry to university professors and graduate students. Rick and Sonya have led Faculty Commons for 17 years, and prior to that directed student ministries at Rice University, and Duke University. They currently reside in Durham, NC.
Dr. Jay and Laurie Lorenzen
Jay and Laurie have been hosting leadership conferences in Gettysburg for the last 25 years. Both are passionate about the role of history in forming men and women of character.
