“Clean water is not just a requirement for a healthy life, it's also a basic human right.”

The Problem

There is a global water crisis that leaves 778 million people living without clean drinking water every day? Below are just a few facts to show put the Global Water Crisis into context:

  • 1 in 9 people worldwide do not have access to clean, safe water.

  • In developing countries, up to 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions.

  • 1 in 5 deaths of children under the age of 5 are due to water-related disease.

  • Water-related sicknesses prevent children from attending school.

  • Without clean drinking water, there is no way for families to break out of the cycle of poverty.

The Solution

Filter of Hope has developed a revolutionary, household water filter specifically for families living in abject poverty (less than $2/day) worldwide. Our filter removes all bacteria, protozoa and microorganisms from contaminated water sources, making the water completely safe to drink.

Our filter:

  • uses hollow fiber membranes—the same technology used in kidney dialysis and water treatment plants.

  • is gravity-fed so no electricity or batteries are required.

  • is EPA tested to ensure filtered water surpasses the U.S. Drinking Water Standard.

  • filters out 150 gallons of water per day and lasts up to 10 years!

  • only costs $40!
